Most detailers have no idea how much they actually make. Revenue gets lost in Venmo transactions, cash payments, and mental math. At the end of the month, you're guessing. and usually guessing wrong. The average detailer underestimates their best service's revenue by 40%. They're leaving money on the table because they don't know where to focus. Detaild's analytics dashboard is built around three tabs. Revenue, Clients, and Jobs. Each tab unlocks progressively as you complete more jobs, so you see signal instead of noise on day one. At 5 jobs, the comparison chart and services breakdown turn on. At 12 jobs, the Revenue By Day and Peak Times heatmaps light up. At 20 jobs, the Clients tab unlocks with Top Clients, Growth, At-Risk, and Visit Frequency. At 25 jobs, the Jobs tab unlocks with Top Earner and Estimate Accuracy. Every metric updates the second you complete a job. No spreadsheets. No manual entry. Just accurate data that tells you which services to promote, which clients to prioritize, and when to raise prices. Stop running your business on gut feeling. Start running it on data.
Revenue, Clients, Jobs. Each tab focuses on one decision. how much you're making, who's making it, and what work is making it.
Charts and heatmaps turn on as your data set grows. You see meaningful trends instead of noisy graphs on day one.
Switch between Last 4 Weeks, 8 Weeks, 12 Weeks, 6 Months, or full Year on the Revenue Comparison chart. Spot growth, dips, and seasonality at a glance.
Revenue By Day and Peak Times heatmaps reveal which days print money and which hours you should block on the booking page.
The Revenue tab opens with your total earnings since day one across every payment source — cash logged in-app, Stripe online charges, and Send Payment Link transactions. Live counter, no manual entry.
Compare revenue across Last 4 Weeks, 8 Weeks, 12 Weeks, 6 Months, or full Year. See whether this period is trending up, flat, or down vs. the previous equivalent window.
Every completed service ranked by total revenue. Ceramic Coating $15k, Paint Correction $8k, Full Detail $12k. Know exactly which service is your money maker.
A calendar heatmap that shows which days of the week earn the most. Spot Saturday as your $$ day, Tuesday as your gap. Use it to set deposit pricing or block premium slots.
Hour-by-hour view of when your bookings actually happen. Pair it with your working hours in /features/scheduling/ to open slots when clients want them, not when you guess.
Tracks your estimated job duration vs. actual time logged with Job Timer. If you keep underestimating by 30 minutes, you're losing money on every booking. Fix it by adjusting service durations.
Your clients ranked by lifetime revenue. Client A: $3,200, Client B: $2,800. These are the people to send a thank-you to, give priority scheduling, or offer a recurring booking discount.
Three views inside the Clients tab. Growth shows new vs. returning clients over time, At-Risk surfaces clients who haven't booked in 90+ days, and Visit Frequency averages how often each client comes back.
The exact service + vehicle combo that generates the highest revenue per job — for example, Ceramic Coating on a full-size SUV at $850. Tells you which jobs to pursue and price up.
Like the Revenue Peak Times heatmap, but per-service. See when ceramic coatings book vs. when full details book. Lets you balance long jobs across the calendar instead of stacking them on one day.
Detaild hides charts that would be misleading with too little data. Nothing on the dashboard renders until you have enough completed jobs to make it meaningful — 5, 12, 20, or 25 depending on the chart.
Why data beats intuition for growing your detailing business
Analytics show ceramic coating generates 45% of revenue despite being only 20% of jobs. That's your highest-margin service. Raise prices, market it harder, train your team to upsell it. Focus on what actually makes money.
Result: Increase revenue by focusing on high-value services
Revenue drops 40% in winter months. With data, you see it coming months ahead. Plan accordingly: offer winter specials, target fleet customers who need year-round service, save summer earnings for slow months.
Result: Better financial planning and cash management
Analytics show your top 10 clients generate $28k. that's 35% of your total revenue. These aren't just customers, they're your business foundation. Send VIP perks, priority scheduling, loyalty discounts. Keep them happy at all costs.
Result: Protect your most valuable relationships
Average job value is $180, but you notice competitors charging $220 for similar work. Your data shows you're underpricing. Raise rates 15%, track the impact. If bookings stay steady, you just gave yourself a raise.
Result: Increase profit margins without losing clients
You're fully booked every Saturday for 3 months straight. Analytics show you're turning away 8-10 potential jobs per week. That's $2,000+ in lost revenue. Time to bring on help or raise weekend prices.
Result: Scale at the right time with confidence
Three tabs: Revenue, Clients, and Jobs. The Revenue tab tracks total earnings, the Comparison chart (4W/8W/12W/6M/Y), Services Breakdown, Revenue By Day heatmap, Peak Times heatmap, and Estimate Accuracy. The Clients tab tracks Top Clients, Growth, At-Risk clients, and Visit Frequency. The Jobs tab tracks Top Earner combinations, Peak Times by service, and Estimate Accuracy by job.
Detaild uses progressive unlock so charts only appear once they have enough data to be meaningful. The Comparison chart and Services Breakdown unlock at 5 completed jobs, the Revenue By Day and Peak Times heatmaps unlock at 12 jobs, the Clients tab unlocks at 20 jobs, and the Jobs tab unlocks at 25 jobs. This prevents misleading trends from a 2-job dataset.
On the Revenue Comparison chart you can switch between Last 4 Weeks, Last 8 Weeks, Last 12 Weeks, Last 6 Months, and full Year. Each window compares against the equivalent prior period so you see direction (up, flat, down) not just magnitude.
The Services Breakdown view inside the Revenue tab ranks every service by total revenue. Cross-reference it with Estimate Accuracy (under both Revenue and Jobs tabs) to see whether you're pricing the service correctly relative to how long it actually takes to complete.
Detaild tracks the time you estimated for each service vs. the actual time logged with the in-app Job Timer. If your full detail is estimated at 2 hours but consistently runs 2:45, Estimate Accuracy will flag it so you can update the service duration. Inaccurate estimates compound — too short loses money, too long blocks bookings.
Clients who used to book regularly but haven't booked in 90+ days. It's a re-engagement list — perfect for sending a quick check-in via Send Payment Link with a discount, or just a friendly SMS through the Call/Copy quick actions on the Clients screen.
Yes. Every cash payment logged in the app (full cash, partial cash, or online-cash-selected) counts toward lifetime earnings, services breakdown, top clients, and every other revenue metric. Detaild treats Stripe online payments and in-app cash payments identically in analytics.
Tax-ready export is on the roadmap. In the meantime, every transaction is visible in the in-app payment list and tied to a client + service + date, so you can manually transcribe to your accountant's format.
