External Payment Methods
Sometimes customers pay outside of Detaild. Mark these payments to keep your records complete:
- Cash
- Venmo
- Zelle
- Check
How to Mark as Paid
Mark Paid Externally
- Open the appointment in Calendar
- Tap Mark Paid
- Select the payment method (Cash, Venmo, etc.)
- Confirm the amount
- Tap Done
Why Record External Payments
- Accurate reporting. Your revenue totals include all payments, not just Stripe
- Customer history. Their total spend is accurate in their profile
- Clean status. Appointments show as "Paid" instead of "Balance Due"
No fees on external payments. When you mark a payment as external, Detaild doesn't process it. so there are no transaction fees. Just remember these payments won't appear in your Stripe dashboard.
